Half Marathon 7 am start time (sharp) 5k start time 7.45 am (sharp) Where: Half Marathon start – Ocean City Inlet Parking Lot close to Dumser’s Ice Cream and Thrasher Fries by the Dough Roller Pizza and Playland Amusements just down from Trimpers Rides. 5k start The Park and Ride West Ocean City rte 50 across the street (Rte 50) from Applebee’s and across the street (Golf Course Rd) from the Francis Scott Key Family Resort. Inlet Parking lot Ocean City Finish areas Half Marathon Assateague Island- Buses will bring you back to the Francis Scott Key Family Resort where the awards ceremony and post race party will be. A shuttle will take runners from the post race area to the inlet parking lot during and after the awards ceremony. Note to half marathon runners and spectators. There will be no parking at Assateague Island for runners/ the parking at Assateague will be for spectators and race staffers only. You will be able to check your gear at the inlet parking lot and it will be waiting for you at Assateague Island. We suggest you bring some nice warm clothes to change into after you finish. Gear check will be discussed in more detail under that category. 5K race finish area will be at the park and ride in west Ocean City very close to the 5k start. If you are staying at the FSK Family Resort you will be within easy walking distance of this area. You can park across rte 50 at the Hooper’s Crab House and or at the Ocean City Factory Outlets. The 5k awards and post race party will also be at the Francis Scott Key Family Resort where runners can enjoy their victory with pizza and beer. You must bring id if you look anywhere near 21 years of age. Thank you. Post Race Party and Awards Ceremony The Caribbean Key at The Francis Scott Key is where the post race party and awards ceremony will be. Don’t miss it! There will be random giveaways, pizza and beer for the runners and food available for purchase for family, friends and spectators. The Caribbean Key is an indoor, pirate themed pool area where it is always 84 degrees and sunny. There is a whirlpool also. We are praying for good weather so we can open the doors around the pool area and let the party spill out into the pavilion area where the fireplace will be cranking and music playing. The doors to the pool area will be opening at appox. 8 am so it is also a good place to have your family and or friends meet you after your race. The following times are subject to change: 8 am Post Race Party / Awards Ceremony doors open. 9 am 5k awards10.15 am Half Marathon awards 8am- 12 noon Swim, eat, relax, enjoy the awards, celebrate your accomplishment, win some prizes, grab a beer, Tell Family and Friends they can join you in the pool area for the festivities, all we ask is that they bring a can good or any non-perishable food item to be donated to the local food bank. Gear Check for Half Marathon Runners Getting Around It is every runner’s responsibility to get themselves to their respective races starting line. In other words runners are responsible to get to the starting lines on time. Buses will not be available by race management for the purpose of getting you to the starting line. Some hotels may offer shuttles. You must check with them about that. If you are running in the half marathon we will bus you back to the post race party and from there onto the inlet parking lot where we suggest you park. 5k runners will not have any bus service and should not need any if you park at the Hooper’s Crab House and or the Ocean City Factory Outlets or if you happen to be staying at the Francis Scott Key. Buses We will bus half marathon runners from the finish line at Assateague Island, to the Post Race Party/Awards Ceremony at the Francis Scott Key Family Resort and from the Francis Scott Key to the Inlet Parking Lot during and after the Post Race Festivities. There will not be buses to the starting lines of any race so we suggest you park in the recommended parking lots.
Half Marathon Runners---The Inlet Parking Lot by 6.40am at the latest. Be Early…. 5K Runners---Hooper’s Crab House and the Ocean City Factory Outlets- your race starts at 7.45am be early and you will see the half marathon runners go through the park and ride between 7.10 and 7.30 am. Spectators---to see the start of the Half Marathon park at the inlet parking lot. If you want to see the finish of the half marathon park at Assateague Island’s State Parking Lot. If you want to see your runner at appox mile 7 or 8 then park at the Oasis Bar and Grill or Uncle Bucks Store on rte 611. Please avoid parking in a way that disrupts traffic, runners, or would be detrimental to any business that is open at that time. We appreciate your help on this matter.
Extreme Dreams Event Management Awards Both the Half Marathon and 5K awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers overall male and female. In addition Age group awards will be presented to the top 3 finishers in 10 year increments. 10-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70 and over These age group awards are based on your age on race day. Please fill out all registrations form completely so results can be tallied quickly and correctly. Finisher Medals Finisher Medals will be given to all half marathon finishers. Management reserves the right to replace finisher medals with special finisher shirts if need arises.

If this changes we will email everyone and all stores in the Ocean City Factory Outlets will be aware of the change so feel free to ask. We look forward to seeing you here.
